Received my Makala Dolphin Uke, Aquila strings, and Snark tuner from Amazon.com.
Opened the boxes and started to play. Just kidding. Put a battery in the Snark. clipped it on my Uke, and tried to tune it. GCEA or so the book says. Hard to tune at first, original strings not holding a constant note but it got better.
Learned to play Cmajor, then Fmajor, then Gmajor. Fingers hurting. Worked on going from one chord to another. Also worked on strumming and did some basic travis picking.
Once the notes began to hold steady it didn't sound all that bad.
